Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang
Pick up at the airport transfer to hotel for check in, then we take sight seeing tour in the town to visit temples such as: Wat Visoun Temple the originally was built in 1513 by the King Visounarath and made of wood. It was destroyed by black Chinese (Hor) in 1887, now has become the museum of the temple. Visit Wat Aham Temple and the National Museum (Former royal palace) which was collected the antiques keep inside included sacred Prabang Buddha statues. We then visit Wat Xiengthong Temple is the most beautiful temple and the oldest Wat was built in 1560, the only one was not destroyed by the war. Walk around city, then clime up 328 steps to the top of Phousi Mount for over looking the view of Luang Prabang. Shopping your souvenir at night market with the reasonable price.
Day 2: Luang Prabang - Oudomxay
After breakfast, we drive for about 5-6 hours on the north road No. 13 to Oudomxay. Lunch at the junction of Pak Mong village, you will stop to visit hill tribe villages on the way. Accommodation at: the best Oudom Kham Hotel.
Day 3: Oudomxay – Bountai Village
After breakfast, we drive for about 6-7 hours to Ban Boun Tai village, stop at Pak Nam Noi village (Ban Sin Xay village) and Ban Lak 8 village (Ekor Para) people. We have a packed picnic lunch on the way (there is no restaurant on the way). Accommodation at basic guesthouse.
Day 4: Bountai Village - Phongsaly
After breakfast, visit Ban Na Way village which is Tai Leu village where you will learn the lifestyle of Tai Leu people, then continue journey to Phongsaly, on the way we make some stops at villages. After check in hotel, we clime up Phou Fa hill for overlook panoramic view, which is 1.500 m highs and walk around Phongsaly to see the living condition life of Kmu and Tai Phoi Noy people. Accommodation Phou Fa Hotel.
Day 5: Phongsaly – Hadsa – Muong Ngoi (by boat)
After breaks fast, drive about one and half hours to Hadsa Pier where you will take a traditional boat down stream on Nam Ou River. You will stop to visit the Tea Plantation (Lao Green Tea) You will also enjoy the beautiful landscape of Nam Ou River and stop at villages along the way. Have packed picnic lunch on the way. Accommodation the best bungalow.
Day 6: Muong Ngoi – Luang Prabang (by boat)
Continue by traditional boat down stream on Nam Ou River, which also gives you a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting discover the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way we have Lunch at Pak OU restaurant.
Day 7: Discover Luang Prabang, UNESCO Heritage Town
You may get up early morning to offer the food for Buddhist Monks, over 300 Monks walking a line on street side for collecting food. And then do not miss to see local market we then come back to hotel for breakfast. In the morning cross the Mekong to Xieng Maen Village located at the opposite side of Luang Prabang to visit Wat Long Khun, clime up Wat Chomchet overlook the panoramic view of UNESCO heritage town. Then take boat trip down stream to Ban Jan village, well known as Jars maker village. We drive to Kuangsi Waterfall and have picnic lunch here. On Arrival at waterfall, we walk through forest take a short trekking. Possible to swim here. Return back to Luang Prabang.
Day 8: Kuangsi Waterfall
After breakfast, drive 16 Km to Ban Long Lao which is Hmong and Khmu people where you will learn the life style of minority of Hmong and Khmu people. Continue drive to Kuangsi Waterfall, stop at Ban Na Sao, Ban Na Ouan Hmong villages, and Khmu villages. On Arrival at waterfall, we walk through forest take a short trekking. Possible to swim here. We have packed picnic lunch here. Return back to Luang Prabang at leisure on your own.
Day 9: Luang Prabang - Departure
In the morning is free on your own until transfer to airport for your flight back home.
