Day 1: Arrive Vientiane – City Tour
On arrival at Wattay International airport in Vientiane you will be met and transfer to local hotel. After a short rest, in the afternoon, we take for sight seeing tour to visit religious museum Wat Sisakhet, the oldest temple, its cloister contains more than 8.000 Buddha statues, Hor Prakeo, the former home-temple of the Emerald Buddha statues, but today it contains a collections of Buddha statues, antiques and all artifacts found around Vientiane, That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos, which was built to cover the original small stupa containing a piece of the chest of Buddha. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 2: Visit COPE and Shopping
In the morning, visit the morning market - a chance to buy some local handicrafts and jewelry at very reasonable prices. Have lunch at the training restaurant of a humanitarian project which works with children living on the streets, to understand about the issues facing the poorest people in the city and appreciate what is being done to help them. In the afternoon, visit COPE, an NGO which is working to help rehabilitate people injured by the legacy of the "secret War".
Day 3: Vientiane – Ban Na Hin.
To day, we drive to Ban Na Hin Village, on the way we stop at point view. We have trekking to Sansanam Waterfall for about 3 hours through the National Protected Area in Bolikhamxay Province. Possible to swim here. Overnight at: Basic local Guesthouse.
Day 4: Ban Na Hin – Tha Khek
After breakfast, we drive to Boat Landing Port and take a traditional boat down stream on Nam Hinboun River, it takes about 2 hours to Ban Na Kok, from here we have a trekking for 15 minutes to Tham Heup Cave, the cave is 800 m long, 8-10 m wide, and 15-20 m high. Inside the Cave is dark and there is an interesting waterfall, some part is 70-80 cm deep. It is fresh and clean waterfall, possible to swim at entrance of the cave. After picnic lunch at the excite cave, we continue to explore abandon ruin temple. Then return back by the same way. Drive to visit archaeological sites of Giant Wall. Over night in Thakhek.
Day 5: Explore Buddha caves
Drive to the South of Laos, one of the most stunning areas of the country. There will be an overnight stop at Savannakhet. After lunch we visit the Salt Production, and then you can take a forest walk with knowledgeable villager guides who work for a conservation project for about two and half hours. Visit that in Hung which is sacred and the most important Buddhist stupa, return back to Savanakhet. You will enjoy walking along Mekong riverside and old French colonial building area included Christian church. Over night at: Hung tip Hotel.
Day 7: Savanakhet - Boloven Plateau
Drive to Boloven plateau, a cool green forested area. On the way, visit the tea and coffee plantations, where you can see how it is prepared for sale (and also buy some if you wish). Visit Pha Seuom waterfall and hill tribe villages such as: Katu, Gnae, Ta Ouy. Your guest house lodge is on the water with a view to a beautiful waterfall where it is possible to swim. Overnight at: Tad Lor Resort.
Day 8: Tour Boloven Plateau
Travel to Done Khong Island, one of the 4000 islands in the Mekong River, where you will stay overnight. On the way, visit Wat Phou Champasak, home of Angkorian-era Temples, welcome your arrival in Laos with some of the delicious local fish, Overnight in Done Khong.
Day 10: Tour Done Khong
After breakfast, we take by traditional boat to explore the local villages: Ban Khone Village, where the old French colonial buildings and its retrace the old colonial past with seeing the first Lao railway with its locomotive. We walk about 30 minutes to visit Liphi Waterfall. After lunch return back the same boat to Done Khong your Hotel.
Day 11: Done Khong – Pakse
After lunch, we drive to famous waterfall of Khone Phapeng, the largest waterfall in the world. After lunch in Pakse is at leisure on your own.
Day 12: Pakse - Departure
In the morning, leisure on your own until transfer to Pakse Airport for your flight home.
